Shenmue for Saturn

The History of the Dreamcast video got me looking around on YouTube a bit, Look what turned up.

Shenmue for Sega Saturn! I’m sure lots of folks have seen it already, but it’s interesting to see what could have been, so I decided to share it with our readers.

The graphics are amazing for Saturn hardware. I wonder if it would have required a new RAM cart? I only wish Saturn could have had a longer life. Who knows what else could have been developed for the console had it been given a 10 year life-span like Playstation.

I remember unlocking this by beating the Euro version of Shenmue II for Dreamcast, but I think it’s also on the Xbox version.

For some reason, I don’t remember the video I saw of this being this long. This was truly impressive to be running this well on the Saturn hardware.

I think Sega made a good choice in moving development to the DC, though.
