Shenmue 2 now playable on Xbox 360
Posted by Chris. Filed under Microsoft Xbox 360, News.
When I bought my Xbox 360, I sold my original Xbox because of Microsoft’s statement of 100-percent Xbox compatibility. Well, because of that, I couldn’t play Shenmue 2 on my Xbox 360 … until now.
Microsoft just released its new Xbox 360 compatibility list, and Shenmue 2 has finally made the cut.
Other notable Xbox Sega games that are compatibile:
- Sega GT 2002
- Shadow the Hedgehog
- Soccer Slam
- Sonic Heroes
- Sonic Mega Collection
- Super Monkey Ball Deluxe
- Worms: Fort Under Siege

I checked this out the other day, it’s kind of buggy. To me the Graphics looked odd, almost washed out, and the color filter they added to the Xbox version doesn’t work at all. When you press it, the game just stutters and reverts back to the normal color.
Nice to have BC updates though!

I liked Shenmue 2 on the Xbox- but I preferred the Dreamcast version by far.
The only issue with the DC version is that in some of the more crowded areas you did get slowdown- but no way near as much as people said.
lso the Xbox had the camera feature- which was a pretty decent way of acquiring screenshots.
